![]() With my setting for rooting cuttings, they are ready to transplant in ~7-9 days. However, in my areated-aerocloner I see little difference in time to first root formation, to transplant time. ![]() I read a couple of studies that found exogenous (from without) application of IBA (like a basal dip or using Clonex) can speed time-to-root formation, and endogenous (from within) IBA can take over from there. It's IBA and NAA, that are most helpful to induce formation of root cells. When a plant makes IAA in apical tissue, some of the IAA gets covered to IBA. In such a case, a surgical mask should be used, as well as goggles or glasses (for splash protection if mixing as stock or working solution). The time to worry about using IBA is when it is in power form, and fairly pure (esp. I use a surgical mask (filter) when doing so. I use powder form of IBA and NAA, when I mix up rooting solution for a 60 second basal dip. Its no good pushing down on the accelerator if theres no fuel left in the tank A fertiliser like CCS is the fuel. Growth boosters push a plant to grow faster than usual, which plants cant sustain long-term without the essential nutrients that fuel that growth. Trans-dermal issues may be a worry, if so, use surgical gloves. CCS is made to work with Clonex rooting gel in particular. We recommend a mild nutrient solution such as Clonex. ![]() ![]() The biggest worry with IBA is inhalation or ingestion, but if you use Clonex, you won't have those issues. You will not have to start feeding cannabis seedlings until they reach about 2 to 4 weeks old and have developed a few true leaves, entering the vegetative stage. IIRC, I did read how most 'gels' are made, but I can't recall right now. I bet a Google search of EDU sites, or a SCIRUS search, may provide a 'how-to' for making rooting hormone 'gel'. A healthy (female) cannabis plant about two months into the vegetative cycle A rooting medium (e.g. If it were, the price would be much higher I assume. What it is, I am unsure, but it's not exotic IMO. The 'stuff' (gel) that is the mass of Clonex is most probably inert, maybe with some anti-microbial chemicals. ![]()
